Join our neighbor-to-neighbor email group by signing up here! Note that this group is seperate from the official email list that the RHA uses to communicate with you on matters of neighborhood and community interest. It will allow you and your neighbors to communicate directly with eachother. Ask questions and share your knowledge and recommendations with eachother. To send an email to the group, first join the group (you must be approved to avoid spammers), then send email to riverfieldresidents@yahoogroups.com.
Currently the shelves at Norcross Coop are bare as they have experienced very high demand lately. Cubscouts will collect food items door to door during the week of March 24 - 29.
Items accepted include:
* Non-perishable food items (canned, boxed, bagged, etc.)
* Personal care items (diapers, toilet paper, toothpaste, shampoo, razors, deodorant, etc.)
The RHA is now collecting 2008 homeowners' assoc. dues. We are happy to announce that the fees will stay at the rate of $135, which they have been for the past few years. This money pays for the front entrance landscaping, water, electricity, fence maintenance and attorney fees for covenant issues. Please feel free to check out our website at www.riverfield.net to see a breakdown of the budget, or reply with comments to this email and your questions will be forwarded to our Board.
For the past nine years, we have had 100% participation in a timely manner. Please do your best to write your check to Riverfield Homeowners' Association within the collection period of Feb. 1-15. Checks may be mailed to our treasurer, Mike Thurston at 5191 Staverly Lane. Or, save the stamp and drop it off in the cooler on their front porch. Mike and Laura will be checking the cooler throughout the day and evening, so you don't have to worry about leaving your check in there.
Those who do not make payment by Feb. 15th will receive a phone call reminder and be mailed a bill. As in past years, we have found our email request the most cost effective and efficient way to get homeowners' fees collected.
Thanks in advance for your cooperation in getting all 143 payments in by February 15th.
Debbie Witalis and Sally Falkowski with Keller Williams are organizing this event for us. We have about 25 homes signed up to date. If you would like to get in on the fun, please contact Debbie ASAP. She will need the days you will sell, your address, and if you would like the charity truck to pick-up your left-overs when the sale is over. Debbie and Sally will be running the ad, making neighborhood maps and signs and supplying balloons for your mailboxes.
The Riverfield Homeowners’ Fee for 2007 will remain at $135, as it has been for the past five years. We will get a budget posted on the website in the next few weeks. The fee will be collected February 1-15th. Robyn Unger will be helping our treasurer, Mike Thurston, with the collection of the checks this year. Checks should be made payable to Riverfield Homeowners’ Assoc. We have had 100% participation during the collection period over the last eight years. Let’s all work together to minimize volunteer time and postage by paying during the collection period. Thanks!
It’s time to clean out those garages, basements and closets!
The annual Riverfield Garage Sale will be held on Friday, October 27th and October 28th from 9 am – 2 pm each day. If you would like to open earlier, just raise your garage doors. We know people will be riding around the neighborhood waiting for those garage doors to open and buy your treasures.
Our garage sale sponsor this year is Jan Schmidt, former Riverfield resident, who is a realtor with Keller Williams at the Forum. Jan will run the ad in the Inside Gwinnett paper, post signs and print maps for us. She will deliver balloons to you to tape on your mailbox when you are open for business.
If you are planning to sell, please send an email to Jan with the following information: Name, Address, Phone Number, Featured Items for sale, and if you will be open on Friday and/or Saturday. Contact Jan Schmidt at 770-490-7148 cell.
